About Asian Journal of Ophthalmology

Asian Journal of OPHTHALMOLOGY is the official peer-reviewed journal of the South East Asia Glaucoma Interest Group (SEAGIG) and is indexed in EMBASE/Excerpta Medica.

Asian Journal of OPHTHALMOLOGY is published bimonthly (six [6] issues per year) by Scientific Communications International Limited. The journal is distributed free of cost to over 4000 ophthalmologists in the Asia Pacific region, as well as to institutional and individual subscribers internationally.

While Asian Journal of OPHTHALMOLOGY has been published in English since its inaugural issue in 1998, keeping with its objectives, 亚洲眼科杂志 (Yazhou Yanke Zazhi; the Chinese edition of Asian Journal of OPHTHALMOLOGY) was launched during the 'Third Global Chinese Ophthalmic Conference and XI National Congress of the Chinese Ophthalmological Society' that was held at Beijing from 31 August to 4 September, 2006. The Chinese edition of Asian Journal of OPHTHALMOLOGY is distributed to over 5000 ophthalmologists in China.  

From Volume 9, 2007, full-text of all articles published in Asian Journal of OPHTHALMOLOGY are being made available online both in English and Chinese.
